Creation of new varieties with fruits quality and genetic resistance / tolerance to biotic and abiotic factors  APPLE, PEAR, PLUMS, CHERRY AND SOUR CHERRY
BREEDING OF APPLE AND PEAR VARIETIES
Objectives
  • Improving the selection technology of the hybrid material to shorten the breeding period;
  • Breeding of new apple varieties that associate different functional genes of major resistance to scab, resistance / tolerance to powdery mildew; improving the fruits quality (commercial appearance, shape, color, taste, firmness, succulence); prolongation the period of storage and consumption;
  • Breeding of new pear varieties with resistance to Psylla and fire blight, with winter maturation and high fruits quality.
Achievements
