The Virology Tissue Culture Laboratory

conducts research and development activities for:

  • ensuring the health of fruit plants, free of harmful organisms, by identifying and monitoring the critical points in obtaining fruit tree propagation and planting material and has scientific expertise and the necessary facilities for controlling the viral status of plants;
  • the application of biotechnologies in the field of clonal propagation of fruit tree species as well as the conservation of genotypes of interest.
