Study of viral diseases in fruit species and use of testing procedures

Objectives:

Reducing the effects of viruses on fruit plants;
Monitoring the plant - transmission agent - pathogen relationship.

Results:

• BIOLOGICAL TESTING

– Mecanical inoculation on Chenopodium quinoa, Nicotiana clevelandii, Nicotiana tabacum and Cucumis sativum;
- Indexing on specific biological indicators - Collection of indicator plants

ELISA SEROLOGICAL METHOD - more than 5,000 tests are performed annually
