Fruit trees and berries eco-physiology under the climatic stress

Objectives:

- Zoning of the temperate and some subtropical fruit species and cultivars-management of the phenological databases and climatic changes impact on medium and long terms;
- Identification of the genotype-environment interaction reflected in fruit species growth and fructification;
- Pheno-climatic modeling of the damages caused by the late frost occurrence using the probabilities theory;
- Impact of the abiotic and biocenotic stress factors on fruit species foliage and crop efficiency indicators, changes in the growth-fruiting balance and assimilates distribution;
- Diagnostic models for the zones critical intervals from the climatic point of view.

Achievements:

- Brevet OSIM A/01248/30.11.2010, with title: „Warning method on late frost effects in fruit growing plantations by pheno-climatic simulation”;
- Late frost risk evaluation methodology based on positive temperatures quantum oscillation;
- Model for fruit species zoning thermal favorability assessment;
- Diagnosis model of critical climatic intervals for fruit species.
